🤖 Skills and Agents

Skills and Agents let you configure exactly how the Docflo AI Agent reasons and acts within your SAP environment.

Skills

Skills are focused instructions that guide the agent to perform a specific business process. Think of a skill as a well-defined playbook for a single task.

✨ What you can do with Skills:
  • Browse the prebuilt skill catalog to find ready-made skills for common SAP use cases.
  • Create your own skills to cover processes specific to your organization.
  • Apply skills to individual agents to constrain and guide their behavior.

Examples of skills: posting a supplier invoice, performing a goods receipt, querying open purchase orders, or checking customer credit limits.

Agents

Agents combine multiple skills and can be configured to execute complex, multi-step tasks using those skills in a specific order or based on contextual guidance.

⚙️ Agent configuration options:
  • Skills — select which skills the agent can invoke.
  • Retries — define how many times the agent should retry a failed action before giving up.
  • Thinking steps — control how many reasoning steps the agent takes to plan and execute its work.

Example

A "Finance Controller" agent might be assigned the following skills:

  • Invoice posting
  • GL matching
  • Accounts Payable reconciliation
  • Accounts Receivable analysis
  • Purchasing trend reporting

With the right skills configured, the agent can autonomously handle end-to-end finance workflows — escalating to a human only when it encounters an edge case outside its guidance.

🚀 Getting started: Head to the Skills section to explore the prebuilt catalog, then create an Agent and assign the skills that match your workflow.
